Ondara is a small inland town in the Marina Alta comarca of northern Alicante province, just 10 kilometres from Dénia and 15 kilometres from Jávea. Though modest in size, Ondara has a notable claim to fame: it hosts one of the largest designer outlet shopping centres in the Valencia region, the Portal de la Marina, which draws visitors from across the Costa Blanca. The town also preserves a fine Moorish tower and a pleasant old centre. Alicante Airport is about one hour south via the AP-7, and the beautiful capes of Sant Antoni and La Nau are 15–20 minutes away.

Parking in Ondara is free on residential and commercial streets. The Portal de la Marina outlet centre has a large free car park. The historic old centre has free spaces near the main church.
The AP-7 toll motorway junction is 5 minutes east, connecting to Alicante in 55 minutes south and Valencia in 60 minutes north. Dénia and its castle are 10 minutes east. Jávea is 15 minutes southeast. Calpe and the Peñón de Ifach are 25 minutes south. Petrol stations on the N-332 and AP-7.
