Benissa is a small historic town 3 kilometres inland on the northern Costa Blanca, with a well-preserved Baroque church and a whitewashed old town that retain a genuinely local character. The rugged coastline 5 minutes away by car includes the rocky coves of Moraira and the popular Cala del Baladrar. Benissa's central position between Calpe and Dénia makes it a quiet base from which to explore the whole northern Costa Blanca without the bustle of the larger resorts. Alicante Airport is about 50 minutes south.

Parking in Benissa town centre is free and easy to find. The small market area can be busy on Saturdays. The coastal area near Moraira has limited parking at the coves in summer.
The AP-7 motorway junction is 10 minutes east, linking Benissa to Alicante in 45 minutes south and Valencia in 50 minutes north. Calpe and its striking Peñón de Ifach are 10 minutes south. Dénia is 20 minutes north. Petrol stations on the N-332 and at the AP-7 service area.
