El Médano is a small coastal town on the southeast tip of Tenerife, known for its natural beaches and steady Atlantic winds. Playa del Médano and the protected Playa de la Tejita attract windsurfers and kitesurfers year-round. The town centre is relaxed and walkable, a contrast to the larger southern resorts. Tenerife South Airport is about 10 minutes away by car.

Before you drive away, check
Street parking fills quickly in summer; use the free car park on the northern edge of town near the sports ground. Paid blue-zone bays line the seafront. Beach car parks near the windsurfing area are usually free but fill early on windy mornings.
The TF-1 motorway puts TFS airport 10 minutes away and Adeje about 20 minutes. The back road toward Granadilla de Abona is scenic but winding — allow extra time. Petrol stations on the TF-1 slip roads; limited options in town.
