El Campello is a relaxed coastal town on the northern Costa Blanca, 12 kilometres from Alicante and connected to the city by the TRAM Metropolitano light rail. The town combines a working fishing harbour with a pleasant beach promenade, and the area is famous for the fresh fish and boqueron (anchovy) served at the harbour-side restaurants. An ancient watchtower, the Torre Vigía, stands guard over the bay. Alicante Airport is about 20 minutes south, and the northern Costa Blanca resorts — Benidorm, Altea, and Jávea — are all under one hour away.

Parking along the beach promenade and near the harbour is regulated with paid blue-zone bays in the peak summer months. Residential streets a block from the seafront have more free spaces. A public car park is available near the town market.
The N-332 coastal road links El Campello to Alicante in 20 minutes south. The AP-7 motorway junction is 15 minutes west, giving quick access to Benidorm in 30 minutes and Valencia in 90 minutes north. Alicante Airport is 20 minutes south. Petrol stations on the N-332 and the CV-800 approach roads.
