Sant Boi de Llobregat is a town of 85,000 inhabitants in the Baix Llobregat comarca, 10 kilometres south of Barcelona and very close to Barcelona El Prat Airport. It sits at the edge of the Llobregat river delta, part of which is a protected natural park with rice fields, lagoons, and birdlife. While primarily a residential and industrial town, Sant Boi has interesting historical heritage: well-preserved Roman thermal baths (Termes Romanes, 1st–2nd century AD) and an 11th-century Romanesque castle. It is connected to Barcelona by metro line L8 and by suburban train, making it a practical and affordable base for visiting the city.
