One terminal, one walk
All desks sit in the single arrivals hall at Jerez Airport (XRY) - no shuttle.
No-deposit options
About a third of cars in Spain come with no deposit hold at pickup - look for the "No deposit" badge.
Full insurance
Zero-excess cover available on most cars - nothing taken from the deposit if something happens.
Free cancellation
Cancel free on most bookings, often up to 48 hours before pickup.
Most driving from XRY is open motorway to Cadiz, Seville and the Costa de la Luz beaches. Pick by group size and distance.
Small & budget
Cheapest to run and easy to park in Cadiz old town. Fine for two on a beach week.

In shorter supply at Jerez Airport, so reserve before you fly if you want one.
7-seater & van
Room for the family and the luggage on the run down to the Costa de la Luz.
Luxury & convertible
An open top suits the Atlantic coast roads. Deposits run higher on premium groups.
Jerez Airport (XRY), also called La Parra, is a small single-terminal airport, which makes the pickup simple. It features a single terminal, which simplifies navigation and minimizes walking distances, and travellers pass through security, collect their luggage and head straight to their transport.
There is one terminal and one floor to learn. On the ground floor of the terminal you will find the Arrivals hall on the left, the Departures hall on the right and the check-in desks in the middle. The rental desks all sit in that arrivals hall - there are car rental desks on the ground floor, next to the baggage reclaim area.
You collect the car just outside. Car rental companies have their desks in the arrivals area, and just opposite the terminal the parking facility has 186 reserved spaces for rental vehicles. That short walk from desk to car is the whole process - no off-site branch, no shuttle bus.
Suppliers in the arrivals hall
The exact desk and pickup point for your booking is on your voucher - check it before you land.
Payment and deposit
When you book you pay only a small upfront amount - usually 15-20% of the hire cost. The rest is settled at the desk on pickup. The deposit in most cases is fully refundable, and about a third of cars in Spain are handed over with no deposit at all - those are marked in the results. If you only have a debit card, pick a no-deposit rate or a cash-deposit option: nothing gets frozen on your card.
Have your voucher, passport, driving licence held for at least a year and the booking card ready at the desk to keep the queue short. Inspect the car for existing scratches and photograph them before you drive off. Some suppliers require all drivers to be at least 25; renters aged 21 to 24 may rent smaller categories, with a daily surcharge of around 23 EUR for that age group. XRY is a regional airport with limited evening flights, so if you land late, check the closing time on your supplier before you book - a missed pickup is hard to recover here.
Returns go to the same rental car park opposite the terminal. You park in your supplier's marked space in the lot in front of the arrivals terminal, lock the car and leave the keys in the drop-box at the office desk. Fuel up before you reach the airport, as roadside prices nearby are higher than in town.
The airport sits on the N-IV (A-4) just northeast of the city. By car, you reach it via exit 628 of the A-4. From the gate you are on the main road within a couple of minutes.
Where that takes you:
One local quirk worth knowing: there is no direct access from the AP-4 Seville-Cadiz toll motorway, so you join it via the N-IV rather than straight off the airport slip road. Your sat-nav handles this, but it explains why the first kilometre runs on the free road.
Jerez de la Frontera has no low-emission zone of the kind found in Madrid or central Seville, so there is no access restriction to worry about driving out of XRY. If you do head into central Seville later in the trip, a car rented in Spain already carries the DGT environmental sticker that any such zone requires, so the hire car can enter - the fines target older or foreign-plated private cars, not yours.
All in one place. The desks sit in the arrivals hall on the ground floor, next to baggage reclaim, and the cars wait in a reserved car park directly opposite the terminal.
There is no shuttle and no off-site branch - your voucher confirms the exact spot.
It depends on the day's flight schedule, as XRY is a small regional airport with limited evening arrivals. Check the closing time of your chosen supplier before booking so your pickup is not missed.
Confirm where to leave the keys if you return out of hours.
About 30 minutes, around 45 km south on the motorway. Seville is about an hour north on the A-4, and Jerez de la Frontera is roughly 15 minutes from the airport gate.
A credit card is not always required - it is needed to hold the security deposit. At pickup the supplier freezes the deposit amount on the card: the money is not charged and is released when you return the car undamaged.
To avoid a hold, choose a full cover or no-deposit rate - then a debit card is usually fine and there is no pressure to buy extra cover at the desk.
The deposit is an amount the rental company holds as a guarantee for the car. Road fines or damage can be deducted from it.
If the car comes back without problems, the deposit is released in full. It is a temporary hold on your card, not a charge.
It depends on the car class and the supplier - you can see the exact amount on each car's card.
You can set a maximum deposit in the filter and the catalogue shows only matching offers. The lower you set it, the fewer cars remain.
Yes. To see cars with no deposit, use the «No deposit» filter option. There are also cars with a small deposit or cash payment.
Note that "no deposit" means no hold at pickup, not no booking payment - a small upfront amount is still taken when you book. If nothing suits, contact our support team.
The deposit is the amount frozen on your card at pickup and released when you return the car undamaged.
The excess is the part of any damage you pay yourself even with insurance - anything above it is covered by the insurer.
In practice, damage is taken from the deposit up to the excess, so the deposit is often set to match it. A full, zero-excess policy removes both: you do not pay for damage and the hold is usually waived.
Cover comes in levels:
You see the available rates on each car's card when booking.
If you would rather not depend on the deposit and excess, choose the full rate.
Yes, some cars can be paid in cash - use the «Cash» filter option.
You pay a small upfront amount by debit or credit card when booking (usually 15-20% of the total), and the rest in cash at pickup in the terminal.
Yes, paying for the car with cryptocurrency is possible - contact our support team to arrange it.
Yes. In the search, set a pick-up and a drop-off point - for example collect at XRY and return in Cadiz, Jerez de la Frontera or Seville.
By default the car is returned to the same place you collected it.
Most are manual, as across Spain. Automatics are available from several suppliers at XRY but in shorter supply and cost more, so book one well ahead if you need it.
You need a passport, a driving licence and the rental voucher - the voucher can be shown on your phone or tablet.
It states the final price with your chosen options and insurance, so the amount due at the desk will not change.
To hire through our rental companies you need at least 2 years of driving experience.
