Pollença is a charming historic town in the northwest of Mallorca, known for its weekly Sunday market, traditional stone architecture, and the famous Calvari staircase of 365 steps. The nearby Port de Pollença — 6 kilometres away — offers a relaxed beach resort with a cosmopolitan atmosphere popular with artists and families. A car is ideal for exploring Cap de Formentor, the Tramuntana mountains, and the rugged northern coastline. Palma Airport is about 65 minutes away.

In the town of Pollença free street parking is available in the outer areas; the historic centre can be tight in summer. Port de Pollença has a public car park near the beach which fills quickly in July and August. Blue-zone paid bays apply along the seafront promenade in season.
The Ma-13 connects Pollença to Palma Airport in about 65 minutes. Cap de Formentor is 20 minutes north — the road is spectacular but narrow beyond the viewpoint; a park-and-ride shuttle is strongly recommended in summer. Petrol stations on the Ma-13 and in the town.
