Car hire in San Fernando: what to know

San Fernando is a historic naval city on the Isla de León, a narrow strip of land between the Bay of Cádiz and the Atlantic Ocean, connected to the city of Cádiz 15 kilometres south. It is one of Andalusia's most historically significant cities: it was the base of the Spanish Navy for three centuries, it was the place where Spain's first liberal constitution was drafted in 1812 during the Napoleonic siege, and it is the birthplace of the celebrated singer Camarón de la Isla, the most influential flamenco artist of the 20th century. Today it has a well-preserved historic centre, a naval museum, and an atmospheric city character quite unlike the coastal resort towns nearby.

Credit card or deposit

Most rentals require a credit card for the security hold. Debit cards are accepted on no-deposit rates — select that option when searching on the site.
