Castelldefels is a coastal town immediately south of Barcelona, with a 5-kilometre sandy beach popular for kitesurfing, windsurfing, and summer swimming. Barcelona Airport (El Prat) is just 5–10 minutes away, making Castelldefels one of the easiest locations in Catalonia to pick up or drop off a rental car. Barcelona city centre is 30 minutes north, Sitges is 15 minutes south, and the wider Tarragona coast is within easy reach. The town also has a medieval castle with panoramic views.
