Calvià is a large municipality in southwest Mallorca that covers many of the island's most popular western resorts — including Magaluf, Santa Ponsa, Palmanova, Paguera, and Camp de Mar. The historic inland town of Calvià itself sits quietly among pine-covered hills, largely untouched by mass tourism. A car is the best way to explore this diverse municipality, moving freely between the coastal resorts and the traditional village at its centre. Palma Airport is about 25 minutes from the main coastal areas.
