托萨德马尔租车价格对比、取车与保险信息一站看清。
No-deposit options
About a third of cars in Spain come with no deposit hold at pickup - look for the "No deposit" badge.
Full insurance
Zero-excess cover available on most cars - nothing taken from the deposit if something happens.
Airport & city pickup
Desks at the airport and in the city centre.
Free cancellation
Cancel free on most bookings, often up to 48 hours before pickup.
Most driving here is the winding GI-682 coast road plus the inland run to Girona. Pick by group size and how comfortable you are on tight bends, not by looks.
Economy
Small and cheap to run, and easier to thread through Tossa's blue-zone parking streets.
Automatic
Less to think about on the constant bends of the coast road. Automatics are limited in Spain, so book early.
7-seater & van
For families or two couples sharing, with room for beach gear and luggage.
Luxury
If you came for the cliff-top drives. Deposits run higher on premium groups.
Tossa de Mar sits on the GI-682 coast road between Lloret de Mar and Sant Feliu de Guixols, with Blanes a little further south. The town itself is small and walkable - the medieval Vila Vella walls, the Platja Gran and the tucked-away Es Codolar cove are all a short stroll apart. Where car rental in Tossa de Mar earns its keep is everything outside the bay: the resort has no train station and only a handful of buses, so a car replaces a thin timetable with your own schedule.
Payment and deposit
When you book you pay only a small upfront amount - usually 15-20% of the hire cost. The rest is settled at the desk on pickup. The deposit in most cases is fully refundable, and about a third of cars in Spain are handed over with no deposit at all - those are marked in the results. If you only have a debit card, pick a no-deposit rate or a cash-deposit option: nothing gets frozen on your card.
The single best reason to have a car in Tossa de Mar is the coast road north to Sant Feliu de Guixols. This coastal road is 21.3 km long, running from Tossa de Mar to Sant Feliu de Guixols. The road has 365 bends - chicanes, hairpins and sweepers - so there is no straight stretch between Sant Feliu de Guixols and Tossa de Mar. It is roughly 30 to 40 minutes of slow, scenic driving with marked miradors to pull over at.
Two practical points. Drive it at a relaxed pace - the road climbs and drops along the cliff edge and you need to concentrate. And check before you set off, because after heavy rain the GI-682 can be closed for falling rocks, with residents still able to reach the urbanisations but through traffic blocked.
Most other drives are short. Lloret de Mar is the nearest resort, about 11 km or 7 miles south. Blanes, the "gateway to the Costa Brava", is just beyond Lloret. Girona is the bigger day out: the driving distance is about 24 miles and it takes roughly 36 minutes, mostly on the inland GI-681.
The point for Tossa de Mar is that one pickup reaches all of them and you can be back the same evening. That is why many visitors rent even when they stay in the town for most of the week.
Quick checks at pickup
Tossa has no airport of its own, so a hire car here usually comes from Girona Airport (GIR), a driving distance of about 42 km, or from Barcelona Airport, about 100 km south. Compare both in one search and collect at whichever suits your flight. In town, parking is paid blue-zone bays plus a few car parks near the old town - there are several blue paid-parking areas, and driving around the streets is the usual way to find a space. Local desk names along this coast include Goldcar and Centauro; either way, an no-deposit rate with full cover built in avoids a deposit hold.
Spring (April to June) and early autumn (September into October) are the easiest times to drive here - warm enough for the beach, with the coast road quieter and prices below the peak. July and August are the busiest: in summer the town gets very busy with day visitors, and with locals at weekends, so book a cheap economy or an automatic several weeks ahead before they sell out. Winter is the cheapest stretch, and a car still makes sense for the inland trips to Girona once the beach season is over.
Tossa has no airport, so most cars come from Girona Airport (GIR), about 42 km away, or Barcelona Airport, around 100 km south.
Compare both in one search and collect at whichever fits your flight, then drive in along the GI-681 and GI-682.
It is slow and very twisty - around 21 km with 365 bends and no straight stretch - but the surface is good and there are marked viewpoints to stop at.
Take it easy, and check first, as heavy rain can close the road for falling rocks. An automatic makes the constant bends less tiring.
A credit card is not always required - it is needed to hold the security deposit. At pickup the supplier freezes the deposit amount on the card: the money is not charged and is released when you return the car undamaged.
Without a credit card you still have options: choose a cash-payment rate (the «Cash» filter option) or a no-deposit rate, and nothing is held.
The deposit is an amount the rental company holds as a guarantee for the car. Road fines or damage can be deducted from it.
If the car comes back without problems, the deposit is released in full. It is a temporary hold on your card, not a charge.
It depends on the car class and the supplier - you can see the exact amount on each car's card.
You can set a maximum deposit in the filter and the catalogue shows only matching offers. The lower you set it, the fewer cars remain.
Yes. To see cars with no deposit, use the «No deposit» filter option. There are also cars with a small deposit or cash payment.
Note that "no deposit" means no hold at pickup, not no booking payment - a small upfront amount is still taken when you book. If nothing suits, contact our support team.
The deposit is the amount frozen on your card at pickup and released when you return the car undamaged.
The excess is the part of any damage you pay yourself even with insurance - anything above it is covered by the insurer.
In practice, damage is taken from the deposit up to the excess, so the deposit is often set to match it. A full, zero-excess policy removes both: you do not pay for damage and the hold is usually waived.
Cover comes in levels:
You see the available rates on each car's card when booking.
If you would rather not depend on the deposit and excess, choose the full rate.
Yes, some cars can be paid in cash - use the «Cash» filter option.
You pay a small upfront amount by debit or credit card when booking (usually 15-20% of the total), and the rest in cash at pickup.
Yes, paying for the car with cryptocurrency is possible - contact our support team to arrange it.
The French border is about 1.5 hours north and Andorra roughly 3 hours. Cross-border trips must be agreed with the supplier in advance - there may be a small service fee and extra insurance.
To see cars allowed across the border, use the filter option or contact our support team. Do not cross the border undeclared.
Yes. In the search, set a pick-up and a drop-off point - for example collect in Tossa de Mar and return in Girona or Barcelona.
By default the car is returned to the same place you collected it.
Most are manual, as across Spain. Automatics cost more and sell out first, especially in summer, so book one early if you need it - it makes the constant bends of the GI-682 coast road less tiring.
You need a passport, a driving licence and the rental voucher - the voucher can be shown on your phone or tablet.
It states the final price with your chosen options and insurance, so the amount due at the desk will not change.
To hire through our rental companies you need at least 2 years of driving experience.
